OUR PROCESSES

After your visit, all mammograms and sonograms will be sent to our radiology group. The results are completed no later than 7 days after your exam. A link will be provided to you to access your individual results.

Integrative and individualized treatment is provided for the breast cancer patients. High quality pathologists, radiologists, radiotherapists, chemotherapist, plastic surgeons, and geneticists are routinely utilized.

ROUTINE BREAST CARE AND DIAGNOSIS

  • Breast exams, diagnostic mammography, and breast sonography are provided in a single office and generally in a single session.
  • Results of a woman’s breast exam, mammography, and sonography are integrated in a manner that cannot be done in most radiology centers or breast surgeons’ offices without radiological equipment.
  • If needed, in office procedures (core biopsies, aspirations) or surgical intervention are immediately arranged.
  • A disciplined recall system is in play to insure timely evaluations.
  • Studies are stored in the office along with all past notes and evaluations. Patients’ breast health narrative remains centered in the office.

ROUTINE BREAST CARE AND DIAGNOSIS

  • Integrative and individualized treatment is provided for the breast cancer patient. High quality pathologists, radiologists, radiotherapists, chemotherapists, plastic surgeons, and geneticists are routinely utilized.
  • In long and thorough discussions with the breast cancer patient, a collaborative approach between the breast surgeon, consultants, and the patient is in play to insure the judicious use of cutting edge, twenty first century treatments and technologies.
  • Breast cancer treatment utilizes a multi modality approach, personalized and individualized, based on new molecular and genetic factors. The office is firmly committed to this approach.

BENIGN BREAST CONDITIONS

  • In the course of looking for breast cancer, benign breasts problems are generally encountered.
  • A large variety of benign breast conditions are, thus, diagnosed and managed in this setting.
  • Some of these conditions need to be watched closely as the border between a benign and a malignant condition can be unclear.

WHO SHOULD COME TO THIS OFFICE?

  • Any patient who seeks to have a specialized breast doctor in the same manner that she has a gynecologic specialist. This practice is built on the foundation that every woman should have a specialized breast doctor as she has a gynecologist.
  • Any patient who has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer elsewhere and is seeking specialized treatment or who wants a second opinion.
  • Already diagnosed and treated breast cancer patients seeking disciplined follow up.
  • Any patient who has been placed in a high risk category and needs specialized care.
  • Patients who are curious as to their risk for breast cancer and want to access genetic testing or other means of assessing risk.
  • Any patient who is concerned about something she or someone else feels on breast exam.
  • Any patient with an abnormal radiological study that needs to be further worked up with minimally invasive office techniques or surgery.
  • Any patient who wants another “pair of hands or eyes” to evaluate her by exam or to review radiologic findings.
  • Any patient seeking routine care–exams, mammograms, sonograms.
  • Any patient who is already a part of this practice who seeks routine care or further diagnostic work or who has developed a new problem.
  • So, almost every patient is appropriate to seek initial evaluation, follow up or treatment in this office.
